Biological Science majorly pertains to the study of the human body and its functioning. However, it is also divided into two other domains: Botany for the biology of plants and zoology for the biology of animals. Biological science is a B.Ed. specialisation program which has a duration of 2 years.

B.Ed in Biological Science Course Details

Biological Science is divided into 4 different semesters. These courses include:

Childhood development

Educational Psychology

Education Act and Drama

Curriculum of Development

Part 1 school subjects pedagogy including mathematics, biology, science, Hindi, English)

Part 2 school subjects pedagogy including subject knowledge and dimensions

B.Ed. in Biological Science Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for pursuing B.Ed in Biological Science, the student needs to meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Have a graduate degree in BA/B.Sc/B.Com from a recognised university.

  • An aggregate of 45%, with 40% for reserved caste, in the graduation level course.

Scope of B.Ed. in Biological Science

After pursuing B.Ed in Biological science, the aspirants can opt for various career options including becoming a Biology teacher, researcher, administrator, dean, principal, course designer, and subject trainer. A student who has specialised in Biological Science can earn up to Rs. 3-4 LPA.
